The following are titles we currently evaluate for in person and provide training to obtain both in person and virtually, with more being added.
VHM – AKC Virtual Home Manners *Puppy (VHMP) or Adult (VHMA)
Recommended for when bringing a puppy or new adult K9 home. Working towards this title starts you on practical skills for a well-mannered K9 in the home before stepping foot in training class. Evaluation and successful assessment completion of this title proves the ability to perform ten home manners skills, owner having control over the K9 in and out of the home, developing a bond during play, and lays a great foundation with a direct lead-in to AKC S.T.A.R Puppy title and/or AKC Canine Good Citizen title.
Recommended for all dogs needing a little push on how to politely live in the human world. The AKC Canine Good Citizen training program is offered as class or private lessons to help you and your K9 learn and advance in 10 skills. These skills can be polished up on your own and once ready the test be administered locally in person. The completion of a CGC title provides a perfect framework for training your K9 to become a polite member of society.
CGCA – AKC Canine Good Citizen Community (Advanced)
Recommended for dogs that already completed or are in training for their CGC title. The AKC Community Canine training program is offered as class or private lessons to help you and your K9 advance skills learned in CGC to ensure you have a well-behaved dog while out in the community. Once ready, this test is fun and conducted in-person during natural, real-life situations in the local community.
CGCU – AKC Canine Good Citizen Urban
Recommended for dogs that already completed or are in training for their CGC and CGCA titles. The AKC Urban CGC training program is offered as class or private lessons to help you and your K9 advance different type of skills in an active urban city or town setting. Once ready, this test is fun and comprised of ten steps all administered in-person indulged in the middle of a variety of noises, cars, streets to cross, sidewalks, and fast-paced distractions.
Recommended for all dogs, purebred or mixed, as a first in-person training class for puppies. This is a six-week puppy class program that concludes with an AKC S.T.A.R Puppy test. Evaluation and successful assessment completion of this title proves encouraged responsible pet ownership, knowledge of the best way to communicate with your puppy, experience and knowledge for both you and your puppy on proper socialization, and ability to perform the basic fundamentals of training with a direct lead-in to Canine Good Citizen title. Here, you’ll have all of your puppy-raising questions addressed including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as a solid recall.
